Your Dog Project
Canine Kids 4-H Dog Project is a program that teaches young people how to become responsible dog owners through hands-on learning.
Learn, train and practice. Get ready to show at the Fair!
Dog Knowledge
Discover various dog breeds, dog anatomy, history, characteristics, behavior, ownership and careers working with dogs.
Care & Grooming
Keep your dog healthy with daily care & grooming. Learn basic first aid, parasite prevention and when to see the vet.
Training
Train and motivate your dog to respond to commands and develop essential life skills. Explore dog sports that you and your dog can enjoy together.
Showing
Gain skills in Showmanship, Obedience or Rally-O, Tricks, Canine Good Citizen, and Agility
Record Book
Record your goals and progress, and keep records of activities, projects, and experiences. You’ll be proud of your achievements!
Projects
Connect and inform! Your 4H project includes Community Service with your club, a Demonstration, and a Poster for Fair.
Leadership
Help mentor others. You can run for club office of President, Vice President, Secretary or other position in the club.
The 4H Year
The 4H Year starts Oct 1st, and entry closes at the end of February. Attend monthly meetings culminating in County Fair
