The 4-H Dog Project is a program that teaches young people how to become responsible dog owners through hands-on learning. 

Learn, train and practice. Get ready to show at the Fair!

Dog Knowledge

Learn about dog breeds, parts of a dog, history, characteristics, dog behavior and dog ownership

Health/Grooming

How to keep your dog healthy, when to see the vet, and what grooming care your dog needs

Training

Learn to teach and motivate your dog to respond to cues and learn good life skills

Showing

Practice Showmanship, Obedience or Rally, Tricks, Canine Good Citizen, and Agility

Record Book

Record your goals and progress. A great addition to your portfolio.

Demonstration

Tell others about something you’ve learned. Describe, teach and show what you’ve learned.

Leadership

Help mentor others. You can also run for President, Vice President, Secretary or other position in the club.

The 4H Year

The 4H Year starts Oct 1st, and entry closes at the end of February. Attend monthly meetings culminating in County Fair
